Tuborg
Maj-Britt Willumsen and Ulrikka Gernes painted this gigantic gable decoration at the Tuborg Factories. You used to be able to see it when you drove past on Strandvejen. The decoration was 230 metres long and encompassed the main entrance for visitors and around twenty gables and facades.
It was a fairytale composition of coloured building elements and a giant pampre. Each leaf was the size of a surfboard! When people passed by it looked like they were walking in a forest of gigantic proportions. Green clouds and cyclamen drainpipes stood out against the light green and light blue background.
We have been informed that the green clouds, encircled by a thin red line, marked thermal bridges in the brickwork. The building was old and poorly insulated. It was quite psychedelic. But it all disappeared with the factory buildings shortly before the turn of the millennium.
