Description: monolith
Completed: 1985
Status: extant
IDname: PG-Z-349
Notes: Three decorated monoliths, made by Poul Gernes, have been placed in three different locations in Køge. On the sides of this monolith, an incised red line frames a picture surface, which is subdivided into vertical fields. These fields are decorated with blue hearts, diamonds and circles. The original position of this monolith was by the post office. It spent some years in a less prominent location in a park, before it was moved in 2013 to Blegdammen, where the street ends in a roundabout. Restored by Ulrikka and Perle Gernes.
