Notes
In June 1986, the Architecture Office in Århus Amtskommune initiated a pilot project for windmills offshore with support from the Technology Council. Poul Gernes made the drawings to visualize the effect of the windmills in different colour schemes. The drawings were based on photographs and computer-generated drawings of the wind farm, developed by the technical consultants Rambøll & Hannemann to show different viewpoints and different farm patterns.
According to the notes accompanying the first exhibition of the drawings, the intention was that with the realization of the project, more work should be done on the design and colour scheme of the mills in order to make them as beautiful as possible.
