Finn Thybo Andersen on Scandinavian Tobacco Company
This is a large, elegant decoration of 11.67 x 3.95 metres on the end wall of a spacious canteen. The motif is tobacco plants in bloom, and, in the foreground, tobacco leaves, hanging to dry.
Unni Johnsen recalls: “We were clambering up and down the ladders, while the employees had their meals. Poul wanted it to be some kind of performance with feathers in your hair and what not. The rest of us were not as happy climbing up and down, while the employees were watching.”
