Finn Thybo Andersen on Troldehøj

Water streams from a corolla-like contraption at the top, running down over the parasol and falling like a water blanket from the edge. The four concrete blocks at the base of the parasol are oriented to the four corners of the world, and the basin is encircled by sixteen concrete blocks. Wedged in between them are smaller blocks with symbols like stars, hearts, diamonds and flowers. It appears that they may even have been painted.

This is a somewhat peculiar fountain. Although it has a stringent construction and contains symbols we know from other Gernes works, it somehow stands apart in the artist's output.
